Spanish 1

This course is designed to offer an intercultural perspective on our students’ every-day world.

The course will introduce basic concepts such as:

• Colors
• Numbers
• Days of the week
• Animals
• Seasons
• Family

This dynamic learning environment will also include music, geography, games in Spanish, short skits, and folk traditions.

Each class session will focus on basic vocabulary building and cultural discovery through interactive activities and dialogue in the target language

Spanish 2

This course is designed to build on the vocabulary and communicative skills acquired in Spanish 1.

The course will also be structured much like Spanish 1 in its focus on topics such as:

• City and country life
• Extended family tree
• Travel
• Transportation.

Cultural activities will be emphasized.

Each class session includes vocabulary building, cultural activities and more extensive dialogue in the target language.

Spanish 1 is a prerequisite for this class.

Spanish 3

The course will focus on topics such as:

• Play!
• Travel
• In the City
• The Zoo
• The Museum
• Discover Art
• Opposites

Spanish 2 is a prerequisite for this class.

Spanish 4

The course will focus on topics such as:

• Classroom
• Daily Routine
• Restaurant
• Monsters
• Superheroes
• Europe

Spanish 3 is a prerequisite for this class.

Spanish 5

The course will focus on topics such as:

• Home and Garden
• Camping
• Picnic
• Space Travel
• Aliens!
• Robots

Spanish 4 is a prerequisite for this class.
